DX Club Discusses Position

WAIPUKUEAU, Last Night. After .an .interesting discussion as to the prospective policy of the Government in respect of B staionst with special Teference to the position in Hawke's Bay, the Hawke's Bay DX Club at its meeting. in Waipukurau last night, unanimously decided, on Ihe motion of Mr A. 0. Holms, seconded by Mr B. Mathieson, that the Govbrnment be recommended to safeguard adequateIy the interests of listeners by maintaining the fullest possible service requisit'e for all provincial sentres,' based on ' georgraphicar and papulation t'actors.. - The mover's point of view that inthe absen.ee of knowledge regarding the full extent of the Govermnent 's plan of proeedure as to the control of B stations, the meeting was not at the moment competent to give a' definite opinion thereon, was supported by Messrs O. N. Hallett, E. Malkin.and Griffiths, the latter expressing the view that the proeedure was along the lines of the BrOedcasting Coverage Commissinu 's report.
