LONDON BUS STRIKE
Interim Report of Court of Inquiry (Received 7, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON. May 6. The Lottdon bus inquiry interim report oxpresses the opinion that evidence regarding the busmen's claim for a 7i-hour day, based on injury to health, is inconclusive, but a case has been made out for investigation. "If substantiated, hours should be reduced or other measures taken. The Court thiriks that the public Will meet any extra cost involVed. 4 "We are of the opinion that some of the schedules introduced since 1932 operate onerously upon the men. •Negotiaiions concerning Other matters should proceed immediately between the parties tlixough the usual channels.'5 In the meantime traflfic problems are unabated but everything is orderly. -
