Motorist's Fortunate Escape

GISBORNE, This Day. Crashing through the railing of a bridge near Huatoria yesterday afternoon, Mr Arthur Lucas, Y.M.C.A. representative at Ruatoria, had a fortunate escape from serious injury. The car Ihnded on its four wheels in the creek bed 20 feet below, a piece Oi timber having penetrated the windsereen and landed on the back s*et Mr Lucas scrambled out, badly shaken but otherwise uninjured.
