In 1928 there wafe eight mdles qf bitumen, cement Or concrpte roads, and 37 mileg not permanenfly surfaced. At pregent the total, excluding boundary roads, is 45.3 miles. There are 27 miles in bitumen, I8.3 in mocaJam. There are at present 90 miles of foptpaths within the borough, of which 42.9 have been laid in concrete ad 23.9 in asphalt, a total of 66.8 miles surfaced and 23.3 npt surfaced.
