NEW BUS ON ROAD
Napier-Hastings Service More foot room, better springing' and daintier finishing touches to the interior ar© outatanduig teatures qf a new Government Raiiway bus which has arrived in Napier to- serve on the Napier-Hastinge route, starting from to-morrow. The vehiole is the latest product from the Government workahops at Lower Hutt. it is a Leyland bus and can seat 33 passengers. Between each double bucket seat is just that small amount of extra space for the teet which makes traveiling so comfortable. The bell has been replaced by a "buzzer," with a button within easy reach of each passenger. The bus is longer than those now in service, and the side seafs in the rear have been abohshed in favour of two sihgle bucket seats, The interior decorations inolude neat brown curtains. The seats arq upholstered in red leatherette. Balloon tyres make for comfortable riding, The Napier-Hastings service is to have another new bus— a smaller one — in about a fqrtmght. The one which will run as from to-morrow represents the very latest in bus design.
