(Received 4, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, May 3. As expected, all departments of ihe Stock Exchange displayed a more cheerful tone. Gilt-edged stock opened firmly. Industrials were in the leadership, with transatlanties stronger. Oiis, Kaffirs and rubber shares are all ber.ter. Business, however, is quiet and is uulikely to develop after Whitsun owing to the Coronation and other distrjaetions. Possible sources of danger are the extension of the industrial unrest in England and a major unheaval in France, where extremist pressure on M. Blum is becoming formidable. M. Bluni, however, is standing firm. against the demands for a 10,000,000,000-franc Public Works seheme, which could only be financed by exchange - control and econoenie dictatorship similar to Germany's.
