Plans for Coronation Week

WAIPUKURAU, This Day. The committee set up to arrange for che decorating of the main street of Waipukurau ior Coronation week reports that approximately -£16 has been donated to the community fund already. The committee has decided that, if the. necassary materials can be procured, the street shall be decorated with strings of pennants between the strings of coloured liglits, to be erected by the Borough Council, and at each end of the street'facing the approaches to the town streamers with suitable wo-rding shall be stretched across tho road way. Telegraph posts in the business area are to be wrapped with red, white and blue bunting with suitablo llags at intervals along the street at right angles to tlio verandahs. These decorations in addition to the disphiys niade by individual shopkeepers should ma ko the town look very bright.
