r Very Enjoyable Evening
(From
TAKAPAU, Last Night. The Takapou Football Oub's ball was held in the public hall last night. Thfere was a large attendance, and the ciub's funds should benefit materially from Hie proceeds. The hall was beautifully decorated with chrysanthemums, autumn leaves and berries, and a pleasing lighting effect was produced by shading the lights with autumn leaves. A buffet supper was served by lady supporters of the club, and special credit for the success of the evening is due to the ladics on the supper and decorating committees. Mrs Charles 'McLeod acted as M.C. and Les Henry's orchestra supplied music for dancing.
