MOTHERS' UNION MEETS IN WAIPUKURAU

The monthly meeting of the Waipu kurau branch of the Mothers' Union was held on Thursday afternoon. The union service was conducted by the Bev. Canon E. D. Eice, after wliicli an adjournment was made to the old ehurch. In the absence of Mrs. E. D. Riee, Mrs. J. Hill presided over a full attendance of members. After routine business had been dealt with, Mrs. Anderson, president of ihe Taradale Mothers' Union, gave an inipressive talk on the duties of pareuts to their children, telling why parents should go with their children to their first eelebration of Counnunion, set an example by attending ehurch regularly and many more examples oi' duties done or left undone. , At.the conclusion, Mrs. Anderson wtis aceorded a hearty vote of thanks. A refreshing afternoon Ica was dispensed by Mesdamcs G. Brice, J. Pioruiug and E. D. Eice.
