GLENCOE RAINFALL
Rain fell on ndne days last month according to the records kept by Mr L. Maclean, at Glencoe Station, the total rainfall being .89in. "It was the driest April we've experienced for many years," he said and pointed out that the. four months of this .year had also been exceptionally dry, only 8.55 inches of rain having fallen as against 23.08 inches for the corresponding period last year. The details of last month 's rainfall are as follow:— April 3rd, .llin.; 6th. .05; 17th, .06; 20th, .13; 23rd, .15; 24th, .35; 26th, .01; 28th, .02; 30th. .01. Total, .S9in.
