BEAT CELTIC Saturday's aeriee in the NapierHastings senior Rugby football competition saw the elixnination of Nalder H.S.O.B. from those sharing leadlng positions on the championship ladder. This team went under to when their forwards were too waak to stand up to the opposlng pack Marist played good football in both departments and thoroughly deeerved their 11-point win. M.A.C. galned an easy win over Hastings Old Boys, the flnal score being 30 to 14, while Hastings defeated Havelock North by 10 to eight in a match was not very inspiring. In # addition to the Napier H.S.O.B. v. M.B.O.B. gatne at Napier, Celtic played Technical O.B. and were defeated by 17 points

Marist, Technical O.B., Hastings an# M.A.C. now share the top position on the championship ladder with six points each.
