Superintendent of ReServes, Mr J. G. O. Mackenzie, in his annual report to tho couneil. Mr Mackenzie stated that the departmeht provides the following faciiities , for sports bodies; — Winter Sport.— Rugby: Two grounds per week. Hockey: Two grounds per week. Summer Sport. — Cricket: Seventyfour wiekets were prepared for Ihe Cricket Association. Tennis: Five courts at Cornwall Park were maintained for the Park Lawn Tennis Club. School Sport. — Grounds were also marked out for school football, cricket, and basketball, free of charge. Private Clubs. — The following sports areas are situated on the borough reserves, but the ciubs concerned provided the necessaTy msLintenance: — . Golf: Parkvale Golf Club, a nitiC-hole coiirse at Windsor Park. Tennis: Parkvale Tennis Club, six courts at Windsor Park; West End Tennis Club, five courts at Ebbett Park. These courts are also used for basketball.
