21st BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR MISS F. MITCHELL
- A. very jolly gatherjngi of the friends of Miss. Frances. Mitchell, Havelock Nortb, met at the Barrie Studio, Hastings, last evening • to wish her good luck on her . twenty-first* birthday. The studio . was gaily decorated with large. bowls of michaeimas daisies and purple . salvia, and the. evenjng was .happily spept in dancing. A' delicious supper was erij'oye'd by e very one, and the guest of iionour cut her birthday cake, wiiich was attractively iced in pihk and white and decorated with 21 candles. The cake was made'- and iced by Mrs Colville Lockie. This party was airanged. by Mrs J. H- Coupcr and Miss Matea Mitchell, but unfortunatbly Alrs CoYiper was unable to be present; "■* * The guest-of-honoUr wore a very becoming goiwh of Princess Elizabeth blue water-marked "moire taffeta fashioned. .With slightly- 1 gather'ed cqrsage 1 and ■trained' skirt1. With. this- shfe wore a "eape of flafme yelyet lined 'with blue. Miss Marea . Mitchell : wore black chiffon, the corsage finished' with black chantilly lace . and tiny frills. Mrs P. A. Mitchell wore a gown of -flame" geprgette with a eoatee of black velyet-handTpainted gold; The guests present were : JVJr and Mrs P- A, Mitchell,' Mrs. C.
