ALLEGED THEFT

Charged with the theft at Napier ou Ifarch 27, of a suit of cloehes valued at £7, the property of John O'Keefe, a painter, Leonard Hilton Lowndes, of no fixed abode, appeared before Mr A. ]E. Bedford, J.P., in the Napier Police Court this morning, and was remanded nntil Monday. Detective-Sergeant II. Nuttall stated that accused, who had been arrested in Wellington on Monday, had not arrived in Napier nntil iist. night, and jasked for the demand.
