Contract Let in Wairoa

WAIROA, This Day. The directors of the Wairoa Cooperative Dairy Compaiiy, Limited, have let a contract for the erection Mr. P. Glengarry being the successful tenderer, of a new butter factory during the winter. The new building will be built on the site of the present one, and portions of the present factory will have to bo moved to make room for the new structure. Th© existing cottage on the site will be moved some hundreds of yards in order to make toom for the new work. Modern ideas will be incorporated jn the new factory. It will have a total length of 116ft. and a width of over SOft. Provision has been made for three lurge churns and three cream vats, and the butter-maEing room will be 40ft. square. The receiving stage will face the north, and will. have a depth of 17ft. 6in, with a width of 40ft. On the west side of the building and on the corner adjoining the receiving stage will be the can storage 15ft. deep and over 40ft. long. ltoller shutters will b© used to close the open spaces at night time. Provision is made for the test room, manager' s office, starter room, condenser coils, boiler and engine rooms on the east side of the building, with the cool store and the store rooms at the Mahia avenuo end of the factory. All foundations, floors, stages and walls will be of concrete, and will be 6in. thdck, and below the churns 12in. thick.
