CLAY-BIRD MATCHES
Craggy Range Club's New Departure RESULTS OF SHOOTING A clay bird match organised by the members of the Craggy Range Rifle Club was held at Craggy Range yesterday afternoon under ideal conditions. This form of sport is more or« less a novelty to most of the members, and consequently the results were hiardly up to - gun club standard. The shocting by Donald Campbell, of the Hawke's Bay Gun club, provided a great deal of interest and the advice by such an expert was much appreciated by the local men. The first trophy match was won by Ian Gordon, after a shoot-olf with A. Tonkin and B. Chambers. D. Campbell won th© next match firing from tlie 23-yard mark in a shoot-off with F. 11. Field and I. A. Mackintosk. The firm of F. L. .Bone Ltd., kindly provided trophies for both matckes. 1 At the conclusion of the shoot, afternoon tea was provided by the ladies, followed by the presentation of trophies by Mrs Micliael Gordon.
