WELLINGTON, Last Night, ; • Begulations issued under the Agriculture (Emergency Powers) Act 1930 provide for the setting up of an export butter box pool in order to ensure for all proprietors of manuf acturing dairieE in New Zealand a regular supply of export butter boxes at a uniform price for each type of box. The board shali be the sole and exclusive agent of every proprietor of a manufacturing dairy for the purpose of purchasing export. butter boxes from the licensees on behalf of every such proprietor. Accordingly, it shall not be laWful far any proprietor of a manufacturing dairy to purchase export butter boxes save through the board as his agent. No proprietor of a manufacturing dairy shall pack butter intended for export beyond New Zealand or ship butter for export beyond New Zealand in an export butter box Which was not purchased by the board as the agent of the proprieto# from the licenaee in pursuance of these regulations. The price to be paid to licensees fbr export butter boxes supplied undfer the regulations shall be fixed by the Minister in respect of each individual licensee for the partichlar typO of etport butter box so supplied, but the price so fixed may be a provisional price sUbject td readjUBtMent acCordihg as the .cOSt of timber, The proprietors of manufacturing dairies shall p&y to the board for export butter boxCs supplied under these regulatio&S a unifofm price ex the box faototy for each type ! of box, to be ascertained each season. j The board with the approv&l of the j Minister may place a contraet or con- j tracts in any season with any mahufae- ! turer or manufacturers outside New i Zealand for the supply of such quan- | tities of export "butter boxeB as the Minister shall approve. Notwithstanding anything in the regulations the board shall have absolute discretiott to permit the proprietor of any manufacturing dairy to obtainj export butter boxes otherwise than as provided and to use the same for packing and exporting butter from Newt j Zealand in certain Cases. .
