Presentation to Taradale Yesterday bqing the 21st birthday of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association, opportunity was taken last night by tho Taradale braneh to present to tlie citizens of .Taradale a framed copy of the memorial that the association is presenting to the .citizens throughout the Dominion in appreciation of the help and assistance accorded to returned soldiers in many ways while on active service and since their return. Mr H. Alderton, on behalf of the members of the Taradale braneh, expressed the appreciation felt- at the great interest taken by the iieople oi Taradale in the welfare of the returned men. They had loyally supported the various eltorts made by the braneh to assist charitable causes and the welfare of its members.

Mr J. Williamson, chairman of tht iaradale Town Board, 111 acceptiiig the memorial, gave his assurance that it was deep.y appreciated and woud occupy a promxnenfc place in the history of the township. He congratulated the association on attaining its 21st birthday and wished it "many happv returns of ^ eday." The Taradale people did not require any thanks for what they had doue, and ho could assure the members of tlie braneh that tliey held the interests and service oi the returned men very close to heart.
