Messrs Dawson's, commenting on tbe London wool saies, says: "The heights of the prices attained are almost fearsome and make folks nervous, but all tbe old crossbred stocks are completely cleared and tbe position appears impregnable. Meanwhile consumption in all grades has developed at an unexpected rate both for tops and wool. Most European millB are at a low level. "An outstanding feature of the season has been the resumptipn of Russian operations, while the unexpected strong support from America also helped the market. The Home trade finds difficulty in making ends meet, whether selling or buying and is being dragged at the heels of a strong world demand."
