Sound Sale of Sheep

CHRISTCHUBCH, Last Night, At the Addington market there were full entries in all sections of stock today, and a sonnd sale for both fat ahd stori sheep. Store ewes fully maihtained recent values for an indifferent quality penaing. Store Wethers in forward condition were ls better, some good station lines making from 24s to 30s 10d. Store wether lambs were weaker by lip to ls 6d a head.
Fat lambs. — The sale. was the best of the year and the schedule rate of up to 9|d for firsts was etceeded. Best lambs made from 34s to 42s, good 29s to 33s, and medium down to 24s. Fat sheep. — Another big entry of about 65O0 head' with a keen sale for good wethers, light sorts being less than store prices, but ewes up to ls 6d better. Fxporters bought ewes freely. Best wethers made from 28s 6d to 44s for a pen of show Wethers, good 26s 6d to 28s, best ewes ^rom 25s to 31s, good 19s to 24s, light down to 15a. Fat cattle.— -There were 510 penned, the bulk being of better quality. Good beef maintained recent rates.but indifferent sorts were hard to selh Extra heavy prime steers made to £15 17s 6d, good £10 5s to £13 10s, ordinary down to £8 10s; best heifers £7 to £12 7s 6d, others down to £4 10a; best cows £11 17s 6d, others down to £4. Fat pigs.-— Porker3 sold better and baeon rates were unchanged. Choppera made 49s 6d to £4 8s 6d, porkers 48s 6d to 52s 6d (average price per lbt 5fd to 6id); baconers 50s 6d to £5 (average price *>|d to 6d).
