Fine Display of Chrysanthemum Blooms THE JUDGE'S AWARDS Keen interest was shown by the general public in the annual chrysanthemum show held in the Assembly Hall, Hastings, yesterday afternoon and last evening by the Hastings Horticultural Society. Patrons endorsed the view of the ofiicial who was reported yesterday to have said that it was easily the finest display of blooms seen in Hastings, and the truly wcnderi'u] showing of gorgeous blooms and dainty autumn tinted t'oliage was remarked upon by almost everyone. The judgee were as iollow: — Chrvsantheinums, Mr. F. Daley, of Napier; decorative, Mrs. O. Anderson; cooking) Mrs. J Mercer ; miscellaneous, Mr. J. G. C- Mackenzie. The championship awards were as I'ollow : — Champjon bloom, and amateur championship. — Mr- Innes Campbell's "Bessie Cook." Open championship. — Mr. C. B. riixon's ''W. D. Pockett". Novice championship. — Mrs- WRugg's "William Turner.'' Children's championship — Master HCainpbeU's "Pink Pockett." The points cups and prizes won were as follow:— Open classes, L. J. Harvey and B.
