Local firms have received the followft lg advices from their Lohdon offices i Williams and liettle, Ltd-— The third . series . of Londoa saies have Opened to a good attettdance of buyers. Competition is keen, with buying well distributed between Home and Contifaentai operators. The opening rates show an advance of ld. per lb. on fine crossbreds and |d per lb. on medium -and coarse crossbreds, this advance being on closing rates of last series at March 12. Poor seledtion and uo halfbred wool offering. Murray, Roberts and Oo., Ltd. — "Saies have opOtted with a good tone.. Competition keen. Poor selection offered. All Sections operating. Compared with last London saies closing rates are : — Merino par to 5 per Cent. advance, crossbred greasy fine advance 5 per cent., crossbred greasy medium advance 5 per cent. to 10 per cent.. crossbred greasy coarse advance 5 per cent. to 10 per cent., crossbred scoured advance 5 per cent., slipe crossbred advance 5 per cent." ,
