JUVENILE TALENT

The Misses Rae and Diana Sanders Farewelled MAX STUDIO RECITAL To honour the Misses Rae and Diana Sanders, two of Hastings best-known juvenile performers, who leave nest week for Syd'ney, the pupils of the Max Studio presented an entertainment in the Hastings Assembly Hall last evenmg. At the conclusion of the exening's entertainment, presentations were made to the Misses Sanders, followed by the singing of "For They Are Jolly Good Fellows, ' ' and three cheers from the audienee. The entertainment was staged by performers representing the cream of Hastings 's juvenile talent, and every member of the company excelled, paying a litting tribute to the two young players honoured, whose frequent stage and radio appearances have made them well known. A notable feature was the rapidity with which successive items followed one another. The costuming reflected great credit on all concerned and the elocution of all the players was pleasing and free from any noticeable .faults, The Misses Sanders presented a number of items, and showed their remarkable versatnity with songs, impersonations, recitations and a variety of dances. Mr. Donald Davies, seen at his best in a humorous reeital, had the audienee applauding loudly from the moment he appeared on the stage. Briaa Hasler's remarkable talent was fully appreciated, and Miss Vida Hayes made a number of appearances in song and dance items. "Little David Nevezie charmed everyone with his remarkable mastery of the violin, and Joy Thear and Shirley Hntchinson showed what could he achieved with a skipping rope.
