WRESTLING
Hal Rumberg, Popular Star, Returns It is safe to say that the contest between Hal. Rumberg and Don. McIntyre to be staged at the Municipal Theatre next Friday night is already causing considerable interest. Rumberg in 1933 was undotibtedly the star of that season's importatious. In the interiin he has had.four gruel- 1 ling years amoUg the leading profes- ' sionals of the States and the effect is bound to be displayed in his wrestling. He has had bouts against Don. O'Mahoney, Jim Londos (twol ahd Vincent Lopez, the last-named being a strong contender for, but not ft recogised holder of the world title. - Rumberg beat ail the 1933 importations, Varga, Oswald, Pereira, Jack Patterson, Mamos and company, but this season's lot are harder nuts to crack, and among the foremost is Don, Mclntyre, who is recognised as one to be in gi eat den and by the various associatfOMs. His two contests with Blomfield have been great bouts and he has been unfortunate m being \ caught with Lofty's octopus clamp when victory was within reaeh. There is never a dull moment when Mclntyre is in the ring. Patrons are'advised to book at l.all's bookshop, phone 4061 _ The following are the amateur prelilimiinary bouts arranged for Friday 's programme: — G. Morris v. A. Skudder; C. R. Croucher v. W. Wlnttaker; J. Stewart v. G. Allingham; J. McCdrmick v. N. Webby. Emergency bout, J. Boyd v. S. McDonald.
