TRAFFIC LICENSING
Sitting oi Authority Applications by pioprietora of geods seiwices operating in Hawke's Bay were considei;ed by the No. 2 Transport Licensing Authority, which held.a sitting in Mapier this morning with Mr P- Skoglund in charge. The authority sat in Hastings this afternoon, when about six applications were under consideration At this morning's session Mrs Jeffie Harvey applied for a renewal of her Hawke's Bay goods service licenoe. Tbe hearing was adjourned pending a eonference between the No. 1 and Nn 2 Authorities. • . An application for a renewal mn'd« by Mr G. Boyd, in respecc of his H.B. Goods Service, was similarly adjourned. "The Hastings-Napier Chequer Bns Service was granted. permission to amend its timetables, while Williams and Creagh Ltd. were* granted a renewal and permission. to amaliiamato its Port Ahuriri and Hastings liceiioes. T. and J. Itoach, who operute u Hawke's Bay Oounty and Waipawa, county goods service, were allowed a transfer to S. J. lloacb. Ltd-, and a renewal of licenc«. The authority fixed the mail contract price at £215 a year for Mr W. G. Fletcher's Nupier-Puketitiri rnail run.
