Stroke rule 4 reads:-— "On the day of a ^ competition no competitor shall practice before starting by playing on or on to any of the putting greens, nor shall he intentionally play at any iiole of the stipulated round which is within his reach." This rule has been waived until further notice and players may therefore play on Thursday and Saturday maminga without such aetion causing disqualification for the afternoon competitions.
