Elderly Man Hurt in Christchurch

Whether Mr. Oharles Peters, aged 65, who now lies in the Christchurch hosph tal suffering from severe head injuries, was the victim of a hit-and-run motor* ist or whether he became suddenly indisposed and fell from his bicycle yet remains to be proved. Mr. Peters, who resides at No. 10 Alexandra street. Richmond, was found lying on the roadway in Bealey avenue betwjeen Madras street and Barbadoes street intersections shortly before 9 o'clock on Saturday evening. At present the indications are that Mr. Peters was knocked from his bicycle by a passing motor vehicle. His condition to-day was serious.
