The Soviet Defence Commissar, Mr Yoroshiloffj has ordered the disbandment of women's Amazon regiments as they are of little military value and are only of use in spectacular parades. Their proper place is considered to be jn the ffome rearing children and darnjng socks. Another criticism was that some women officei's led lives unworthy of the Russian uniform.
