Gold Dredge was left slightly ahead of Our McKinney and Nervie's Last and the leader paced on very soundly to the finish to retain his advantage and win by a length and ahalf. Our McKinney outstayed Nervie's last in the final half-furlong. Star Pronto made a great effort over the last half -mile, af ter losing half a furlong, but he tired near the end.
