Waipawa Arranges Procession

WAIPAWA, This Day. At a meeting of the general commit-. te© to arrange the procession to be held in Waipawa on Coronation Day, the Mayor, Mr O. G. E. Harker, presided over a good attendance. " It was decided that the following -^ght classes should be in the procession: Trade exhibits; original and humorous displays; decorated lorrjes; decorated bicycles; children's section; decorated cars; horse display; best Maori display. Separate awards will be made in each section, also for the best fancy costume.for man and woman. Mr Trevor Black will be marshall, assisted by Messrs S. W. Strang, H. S. Rathbone and N. McKenzie. Thp official lorry is tp accommodate a Coronation tableau of Oberon and Titania and a'ttendant fairies. This exhibit will be under the control of Mrs Harker and Miss Jull. The procession will- assemble in Vic-i toria street, near the gasWorks, and' then proceed through Ruataniwha street and High street to Coronation Park. On arriving there, the exhibits will be assembled in front of the stand, where official addresses will be delivered. It was decided to ask the Returned Soldiers' Association to arrange for an appropriate exhibit. Mrs H. M. Preston and Mr D. H. Edwards were added to the committee.
