Falling Pine Tree Ssiasbes Hut NIGHT-TIME TRAGEDY

WHANGAREI, Last Night* A pine tree fell on a hut at Ran* giahua last night,, killing, Murdoch Ogle, aged nenrly 12 yeaTS, and Walter Ogle, aged 13, both sons of Mr. Joseph Ogle. The hut was some three-quarters of « chain from. the homesf eacL and the tragedy was not diseovered until this morning when Mr. Ogle went to call the boys. He found that a pine tree had been hlown over smashing the hnt to pieces. When he cut away the remains of the bnilding, he found that the tree had fallen lengthwise across a double bed in which the boys were sleeping. Both were dead. It was necessaTy to cut away the trunk of the tree .to romove the badies. It is surmised that the tragedy oecnrred? at about 11 pm, when the family heard what they thonght was a sheet of iron being blown abont; ,
