Work Being Carried Out in Hawke's Bay
OUTLINE OF DEVELOPMENTS mmam *— mm wm i «— « ■ ■« A comprehensive outline of the progress made to date in the land utilisation survey that is being carried out in the Hawke's Bay province was given hy two of the officers concerned in this work at the weekly meeting of the Hastings Rotary Club yesterday afternoon. Some conceptoh of the work involved in one particular phase of the scheme was given by Mr I. L. Elliott, B.Sc., Ag., of the Department of Agriculture, who is in charge of the Farm Management Survey, while Mr I. J. Pohlen, M.Ss., of the Soil Survey branch of the Department of Scientific aiid Industrial Research dealt with a general outline of the whole scheme and some of the results that have already been obtained.
