CORONATION FILM ARRIVES IN DOMINION
Recent cabled . advice to the New Zealand Press stated tkat YVarner Brost. were making a film to be en- * titled "The King's People" which would be available for release ju the various countries of the British Empire duiing Coronation Week. The New Zealand office of the company. now annotmces that the completed film has airived here, and ' those who. have seen in state that it is a thrilling* glorification of .British people and the British Empire^ As - stated in the .cable nojrs, "The King's Pepple" was produeed from . a scripi written by the late Mr John Drinkwater, and it contains special sections devoted to New Zealand, the other Dominions and- lndia. Two copies of the film were dispatcked to New Zealand by ajr inail immediately npon completion of production. In. the late Mr Drinkwater 's own words: "The idea is to present the spirit of Empire through actual pictures and dramatic dialogue. Such questions as -'What is the British Empire?', 'How ' did it happen?', 'What does it meanP'.are asked and answered. Such fundamental theme3 ; are illustrated by pictures most appropiiat© to each. subject." The ' associate . producer of "The King's People" was Mr John Stumax, and many of , the shots were taken, at the Drinkwater . studi^|F in Lottdon.
