COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS
Mr. Eddy and Mr. Nield Chosen WAIPUKURAU, This Day. Mr D. Eddy and Mr D. W. Neild were elected to the finance committee of the Waipawa Hospital Board yesterday. Mr Eddy'e appoifitment was to fill the vacancy occasioned by the fesignation of Mr R. A. Fraser. After Mr Eddy's electiOn, Mr N- G. Hawthorh asked to be allowed to resign in favour of Mr Neild. He said that* he felt quite sure it Would be in the Interests of the institution to have one Imember of the finance committee living close at hand. As far as he (Mr Hawjthorn) was concerned, he lived so far l&way that it was too. difficult for hira jto sttend sll the necesss ry meetings. {Mr Hawthorn's resignstion was accept]ed with regret, Snd Mr Neild wii apjpointed o» the nation of the ehaitman KMr.W. H. Bathboiie). Mr Hawthorn was appointed to the {finance committee in place of Mr H. W. jWhite (resigned) at the March meeting jef the board.
