ANZAC DAY
Arrangements For Varlous Services HASTINGS CEREMONIES Excepfc that the service will be held in the afternoon, instead of the morning, and that a slight amendment has been cnade in the route march to the Municipal Theatre before the service, the Anzac Day service in Hastings will be the. same as in years past. Military, Boy Scouts and other units will assemble at the Bandroom in Warren street at 2.30 o'clock and will march from there to the Municipal Theatre via Lyndon road, Russell street and Heretaunga street. The order of service, which eommences at 3 o'clock, is exactly the same as last year, except that the principal speaker will be Col. 0. H. Weston, K.C., D.S.O., of Wellington, and following him will take place the presentation of the special resolution of thanks of the N.Z.R.S.A. , to the Mayor of Hastings, Mr. G. A. Maddison, and the chairman of the Havelock North Town Board, Mr. H. R. von Dadelszen. At the conclusion of the service in the theatre, there will he the parade and march to the Oenotaph for the laying o£ the wreaths. Later in the afternoon members of the Returned Soldiers' Association and those taking part in the service will be entertained at' a complimentary afternoon-tea by the Hastings Borough Oonncil.
