SOCIALIST LEAGUE

Dissolution Recommended (Received 23, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, April 22. By eight votes to four the national council of the Socialist League has de-1 cided to recommend the immediate dissolution of the league. It was decided that the recommendation shall come before the league 's annua^ conference at Leicester at Whitsun. The national executive of the Labour Party decided On Match 25 that membership of the Socialist League, of which Sir Staeord Cfipps is chuirmau, Was incompatible with membership of the Labour Party. Sir Stafford and liis followers would therefore be expelled from the party unless they gave up , membership of the league by June 1.
