CHRYSANTHEMUM SHOW
* in 1 — » 1 1 _ 7 Fine Blooms at Napier Exhihition AWARDS OF JUDGES Entries of a very good standard are received for the Napier Horticultural Society 's Chrysanthemum Show, held in tlie Po,resters' Hall yesterday. Although tlio afternoon attendance was epoiled to some extent by a heavy shower of rain, the attendance of the public in the evening was very good, and the success of the show is assured. Competitors from Hastings, Napier and the surrounding country districts exhibited a large number of fine blooms, and in most cases the judging was a difficult task. The champion bloom was a pure white William Turner, exhibited by Mr D. J. McLeod, Haumoana. In the centre of the hall, a fine display by the Napier Borough Council reserves department attracted a deal of admiring comment. The stand was profusely packed with choice blooms, recently cut, and arranged in a manner that gave the full effect to the flowers.
