After readmg a description of tne forwards in the coming Springbolc team, wri ter remembered that soon there will be about twenty visiting wrestlers in this country. Among these it would be easy to find eight who have played as forwards in American football. "If "Lofty" Blomfield conld be persuaded to lead eight snch forwards against South Africa in the first list, with inN structions to play what Norman Mackenzie calls a "hardrucking" first spoll, our All Black backs might easily show to advatage later in the game.
