WilHamson, chairmsn ' of tfte Taradale Town Roard, who congratulated the society upon its splendid display and the exhibitors uppn the high' standarc of qualify *f their eutriesi The fruit . seot|on waa ccuhued to apple# and pehrs, which! included entries of platoa and cased lots. Th# principal exhibitors were the Greenmeadows Fruit Fanu nud, Mr J. H. Walker, of Twyford, Some eXcellent exhibits wer# displayed ih Which colpur was a strohg fentur#. ' The yegetabla pection was again . strongly supp«rted and jncluded n widb' rnnge of entries. Th# quality w«ap equal to th© best ^eCix at *ny show in the dmtfict. and reiiccted the care and attontion giveh in their cultxire. Gooking aqd home industriea attracted very large entrieg and competition was particularly ' keen, the judge having greati difBoulty in roaking awards in some of the classes. Two very suceessful exhibitors from Hastings were Mr# J- Mercer and Mrs H. Barr. The show was largely attended at bpth the afternoon and evening sessions. The various cups and special ilWards were presepted to the successful exhibitors by Mr E P. Smyrk, on behalf of the society, who expressed bis thanks for the fine support given to tlte show, which he hoped had beeii of interest to all.
