Gooking aqd home industriea attracted very large entrieg and competition was particularly ' keen, the judge having greati difBoulty in roaking awards in some of the classes. Two very suceessful exhibitors from Hastings were Mr# J- Mercer and Mrs H. Barr. The show was largely attended at bpth the afternoon and evening sessions. The various cups and special ilWards were presepted to the successful exhibitors by Mr E P. Smyrk, on behalf of the society, who expressed bis thanks for the fine support given to tlte show, which he hoped had beeii of interest to all.
