Mr. McNaught, who . was 62 , years • of .age, w,as • born in Glasgow) and went to Dunedin, New Zealand, as a yOung man. He later started 'in ' ac'countaht's practice in Dargaville; ■where he remained for five years bef ore joining the stafl? of the Napier Technical. School, as commercial instructor. He was for some time a resident of Hastings. In 1927, Mr. McNaught went to Masterton and took 'up a similar position at the Masterton " 'Technical School. Mr. McNaught was the author of several textbooks on book-keeping and commercial correspohdence, . and in these subjects he was ;a recognised authority. He is survived by his wife and four sons, Messrs. Colin (of Wellington, but at present visiting America), William and Kenneth (Wellington), and Boderick (Masterton).-" ;
