BIockade-Runner's Welcome COAST BATTERIES MANNED ((Beceived 22, 8.45 a.m.) BILBOA, April 21. Captain Boberts, his daughter Fifi and the crew were feted everywhero. Everything liad been ready for tlleir arrivaL The coastal batteries were manned, aeroplanesi ^xerjformed aexobaticB and destroyers and armed trawlers jescorted the vessel to its berth in triixmph ignoring the Espana Ceivera 15 miles ott'shore. The miUtia presented arms as Captain Boberts proudly megaphones: "Make her fast as she lies, Mister Bosun." Describing her departure from St. Jean de Luz, Captain Boberts said an F class destroyer (one of those relieving the B class fiotilla) wirelessed: "Whither bound?" We said: "Bilboa." The destroyer asked: "On your own responsibility ? ' ' "Yes," we said. "Good luck," the destroyer replied. A fiotilla consisting of the Firedrake, Fortune, Fury and Forester ielieved Brazen, Brilliant and Beagle.
