WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Acting-Mini-ster in Charge o. Broadcasting (Hon. F. Jones) atateu to-day that the.old 2YA transmitter on Mount Victoria had been re-modellec and transferred -to Titahi Bay. It wiL be brought into use' again on Sunday and be known as 2YC operating on tho frequency at present used by 2YO anO /observing the same- hours. The1 present ' 2YO transmitter wili operate from Mount VictOria on a fre fquency of 1060 kiloeycles and a'wavclength of 283 metres and will be knOwn as 2YD. This small transmitter will bo used between 7 and 10 p.m. ' daily. When the programme re-arrangements jhave been completed the 60-kilowatt itransmitter of 2YA will se'rve as a Dominion st'ation and will transmit the 'more important items and programes, 2YO will serve the Wellington area, and 2YD will be the Wellington City subsidiary station,
