Meeting of Directors Notes Improved Position.

TAKAPAU, Last NightA meeting of directors of the Takap'a i Caledonian Society, which was we.ll attended, was held in the Takapau Public Library last eve'iling. The president, Mr R. A. .Fraser, was in the chair. The secretary, Mr N- C. W.> lie. presented a draft balance-sheet whicb showed that the society had considerably improved its position during t]je past "year. aiessrs E. F. Stuhbs, N. M.. Paulsen,. J, Caughley and W. C'nthbertson congratuiated Mr Wylie on his success on incrcasing the membership. The gond wo'rk done to the muning track for tjle sports by Mr F. de Stanpoole, was specially referred to. and others who had helped were also thaiiked Recomnieudations were made for additions and alt.erafcions to the spoj-ts programme- Mrs P. F. Wai) promised a 10-guinea cup for the horse jumping competitions. and it vvas decided t.o thank Mrs Wall
