One such artist, at leafst, has alreafly as much work in hand as he Can cope with in the next two weeks* Special Iighting effects are .to be n feature of many of the window decorations, and a great deal of time is being given to their planiiing and prepatatlons. In this regard ihe special concession offerOd by the Hawke *S Bay Electric Power Board has been na incentive.

The annual dauce and presentation of trophies of the Hastings Amateur Athletic aud Cycling QLub is to be held on Fhursday at 8.15 p.m. in the Oddfellows' Hall. The British Legion is- holding a special night to-morrow in the Premier Hall, Hastings at 8 p.m. There will oi a soeial with cards and daucing. Oairying Accounts.
