Britain Reforms But Will Keep Her Spoils CONTINENTAL VIEW

AUCKLAND, Last Night, People have not lost faith in the League of Nations, said Dr. L. L. Buxtbn, administrator of St, Patrick's Cathedral, on bis return to-day from travelling in Europe. Britisb rearmament was regardod as the best pledge of peace, but, nevertbeless, we wuat try and appreciate the viewpoint pf the Continent, "People on the Continent view Britain as a very successful retired burglar who bas made a dedieatiou to reform and has called upon his fellowprofessionals to reform with bim, on the basis that each keeps what be bolds," said Dr. Buxton. . "Until we are able to convince tbe world that we really bave common interests at beart our lead in tbe League of Nations will be euspccted."
