WOMEN RIFLE SHOTS
Admitted to Napier Club PRECAUTIONS TAKEN The question of whether women should be admitted to the club was raised by Mr C. Holt at the ahnual meeting of the Napier Miniature Rifle Club last evening): As an argument in favour of their admittance it was pointed out that this course had proved very beneficial to the Dannevirke Club. Owing to the fact, that arrangements for the hire of \ the Artillery Barracks had already heen finalised, the women would not be able to have a separate night for their shooting. After discussion the members adopt-ed a motion that women be admitted to the club on the same conditions ' as male memhers. It was also decided that, in view of novice women shooters' notorious inaccuracy, they must be accompanied on the mounds by a coach. Those present, in making the above decision, acknowledged the faqt that experienced women shooters were quite often as skilful as men shooters. .
