Urgent Telegram to Minister

WAIPAWA, This Day. At the monthly meeting of the Hawke's Bay Education Board held on Friday, the ehairman, Mr G. A. Maddi«on, in reply to a question by Mr C. H. Critchley, ward member for Waipawa, if there . were any further developments in regard to the grant for the new schooi at Waipawa, stated that he had dispatched an urgent telegram to the Minister asking that the matter be speeded up so that work could proceed in preparation of the ground. Al] legal formalities m connection with the purchase of the new ground have been completed, and it is anticipated that now the end of the finaneial year lias been passed an announcement will shortly be made by tho lOducatiou Department of grants for .works which have been approved.
