Mishap .at Milson 'Drome OVERTURNED BY WIND

PALMERSTON, N. This Day. A mishap befell .two Manawatu Aero Glub Moth machines at the Milson aerodrome on Saturday morning as a result of which both were damaged. The aeroplanes were »3taading outside the hangar, just having been attended to for fuel requirements, and Mr. G. R. Hughes, the ground engineer, was running the engine of one, -ABV, a practice followed daily to test the motors, when, it was stated, the wind changed. The machine was eaught by the gust and swung round to tip iorward on its nose. Mr. Hughes, who was in the cockpit, was not hurt. lh turning, however, the wings of . fche 'plane caught the wings of the other machine (ZK-ABA), which were damaged. The top one was broken in half and a numbqr of ribs in the bottom wing smashed. Of the machine which tipped on to its nose the top wing was damaged, but the lower wing was unharmed. The propeller blade was damaged, about a foot being broken oS at each end. j
