WEDDING GIFT PRESENTED TO MISS WINNIE CRAVEN
On the occasion of lier tipproaching marriage, Miss Winnio Cmvrjn, of Hastings, was the recipient of a tangible token oi esteein at a largely-at-tended social function held in her honour by the employees of Owhaoko Station, Ngamatea, Taihape district. The gift comprised a "beautiful oak chma cabinet and an oak writing desk. Various speakers testified to the great esteem in which the guest is held and also to her wide popularity. The hiiusical honours were accqrded the recipient. For several years past Miss Craven has held a respon'sible position on the staff of Messrs Fernio Bros. and Roberts, at Ngamatea. Her marriage is to take place shortly, and the new home will bo a;, Otane. She was given an enthusiastlc send-off.
