It emphdsised that only postponcment and not abandonment was being considered. A previous message fronx Paris saic that the Minister of Air, M. Pierre Cot. has infocmed the aero clubs of France that the intematioual New York to Paris air racc lias been abandonod t'Wing to United States opposition. Anicrica had Urgod a postpouemeni on the gxound that aocidents would create a bad impi-essioii on the eve oi the opcning of the Trani Atlantic commercial services.
